Bring a book.

That is what the guide book says about the nightlife in St. John. They obviously have never had to contend with the Bauerlein women. Guaranteed we livened the island up last night. Bar hopping on St. John. That will be a new favorite memory.
Today we went to Caneel Bay for lunch. It was wonderful and we celebrated Mom's 60th, Carol's 40th, Katrina and Marta's 30th and 2 different anniversaries. We took a picture so I'm going to post that soon. It was pretty fun. I'll post again tomorrow. -Elizabeth

Can fish get Cancer?

So I have spent quite a bit of my time snorkeling on the island. I have decided that I want to come back as a fish in my next life. Not only do I love the water, but fish have no claustrophobia issues. They swim in and out of these coral formations with no fear. They love it. They don't have to deal with donut machines that give them nightmares.

I mentioned this to marta and she promptly reminded me that fish have problems along the lines of larger fish....so maybe i will come back as a fish tank fish. One of those pampered rich fish. Or better yet...a merperson. Then I'll be at the top of the fishy food chain.

In the mean time I am all about the snorkeling. I saw many pretty fish, a small sword fish and two sea turtles. I even touched one. We are hoping to head out tonight for some town time. Drinking/partying. We'll see if i'm up for it. That's all for now. Later -Elizabeth

Exile

I am a bad person for not updating in forever. I should be punished. I think I will exile myself. That's it. I'm going to send myself far away. Like maybe a tropical island. Yeah. That's it. A tropical island. Excellent. (A small evil grin emerges.) Excellent.

In case you haven't figured it out. I am off to St. John. USVI. The whole family is going. Won't be back until July 1. However, I promise to blog upon my return. Later. -Elizabeth

Things NOT to do when the room is spinning...

So, when the room is spinning and you can’t make it stop…
DO NOT close your eyes. This is a guaranteed way to make sure that you will feel like the room is spinning faster and faster and faster.
Number 2. DO NOT try spinning with the room. Standing in the middle of the room and spinning around in the same direction it spins will NOT make the room stop spinning. It will however make you very nauseous and dizzy.
Finally, DO NOT, …I repeat…DO NOT spin in the opposite direction the room is spinning. Not only will become very nauseous and dizzy, you will also more than likely end up on the floor with a concussion from a nasty fall after accidentally bumping into the end table.

Ok. That’s Elizabeth’s advice for the day. On to more important matters. Specifically, I’m having a party.
Consider this an open invitation to the celebratory event of the summer:
The Fred is Dead Party
On July 15th (Saturday) from 1:00 until… well, until I get tired or I pass out. Which ever comes first. It’s going to be at the house and all are invited. However, bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Maybe some beer. Oh. And it’s themed. Hospital attire. Doctor’s, nurses, patients. Whatever. Just make sure that you have a lab coat/stethoscope/scrubs/or gown. I’m sure mom will remind me if I forgot to post some information. But I just wanted to make sure the date got out there, and you all have it on your calendars. That’s it for now. -Elizabeth

Still here

So that was an exceptionally long time for me to wait before posting. Sorry. I was being lazy. In fact, Im still feeling lazy. So this is to let you all know that I'm still around, everything is fine, and I will soon be having a Fred is dead party. Still not quite sure on the details, but I'll give you all a heads up on the when and where soon. I think that's it. I'll post tomorrow. -Elizabeth
