Things NOT to do when the room is spinning...

So, when the room is spinning and you can’t make it stop…
DO NOT close your eyes. This is a guaranteed way to make sure that you will feel like the room is spinning faster and faster and faster.
Number 2. DO NOT try spinning with the room. Standing in the middle of the room and spinning around in the same direction it spins will NOT make the room stop spinning. It will however make you very nauseous and dizzy.
Finally, DO NOT, …I repeat…DO NOT spin in the opposite direction the room is spinning. Not only will become very nauseous and dizzy, you will also more than likely end up on the floor with a concussion from a nasty fall after accidentally bumping into the end table.

Ok. That’s Elizabeth’s advice for the day. On to more important matters. Specifically, I’m having a party.
Consider this an open invitation to the celebratory event of the summer:
The Fred is Dead Party
On July 15th (Saturday) from 1:00 until… well, until I get tired or I pass out. Which ever comes first. It’s going to be at the house and all are invited. However, bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Maybe some beer. Oh. And it’s themed. Hospital attire. Doctor’s, nurses, patients. Whatever. Just make sure that you have a lab coat/stethoscope/scrubs/or gown. I’m sure mom will remind me if I forgot to post some information. But I just wanted to make sure the date got out there, and you all have it on your calendars. That’s it for now. -Elizabeth

So to all of you Elizabeth fans...

don't watch for an invitation to the party in the mail....we're not sending any out. This is a word of mouth and word of blog affair. If you want to come and help us celebrate the demise of Fred, then come to our house on Saturday the 15th of July anytime after 1:00PM. The pool will be open (provide your own towels). All contributions (appetizer, dessert, wine or beer) will be gratefully accepted...most important is to get the word out to everyone who has followed this blog, and lives near enough to come. Even if you have to travel a little (Diane, Julie, Kathy, Lisa, Susie, Carolyn, Scott, Leon, and the rest of you) There is plenty of advance notice.
And a request of those of you who plan to follow through on the medical theme of doctors, patients, etc, Please don't wear one of those hospital gowns that ties in the back without the proper undergarments. Thanks.

Room is spinning? Did you start on the drinks already? I hope it was something fun like that, and not chemo related!

Welcome back.

Elizabeth - no more spinning!
The party sounds like great fun. I'm already hatching a plan that will allow Brendan and I to attend.

I feel a road trip coming on! This is the party I've been waiting for... Thanks for the advanced notice. And I too hope the spinning was self-induced rather than prescribed. :-( Hope you're feeling better...

Many smiles!!

Okay, it's officially June 11th (after midnight now), so go ahead and wish Elizabeth a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. And, yes folks, she can still drink a margarita and she used the giant glass that Amy provided...two straws. One for her and one for Marta.

Happy Birthday daughter. We love you. Mom and Dad

Your spinning is signigicant of your journey; with all that you have gone through, you are continually turning it around and giving to others! Love, Susan W

Elizabeth, please write something new...this page is boring and people think that you are sick. Let everyone know that you love them, even when they don't leave comments (Phyllis), and that leaving comments is both pain-free and cost-free.
