Hello Bloggers -
Just a quick update. I had a follow up appointment in Boston on Monday. It went fine. I don't have to go back to DFCI for a month! Not much going on this week. We did do some "apple jammin" this past weekend for Erica's wedding. We made a ton of jam. It tasted really good, but I'm not sure I ever want to look at another apple again. Erica's guests had better appreciate the effort.
In other news from Massachusetts....

I would like to introduce someone to you. Do you all remember my friend, Julie? She's the one with the baby bump. Well guess what? The bump is out.

Bloggers? I would like you to meet Kaden Sean.
Mommy and son are doing fine. (Although Julie sounded exhausted when I spoke to her)
And Kaden is adorable. He doesn't even have that smushed baby face that newborns have. Julie and Brendan did good work.
If you have a second, give a Congrats shout out to Julie, Brendan and baby Kaden.
-Elizabeth

Congratulations on the new baby! I'm surprised that Elizabeth didn't make you name it after her!

Wonderful news.

Actually Janette, had the baby been a girl, her middle name would have been Elizabeth. So Julie and Brendan, Gary and I also say congratulations and send our very best wishes.

Now Elizabeth, you might explain to everyone that the apple jammin' was to make apple jam as favors for the wedding in the fall. What a blast and great memories all the woman in the Blouch and Bauerlein family shared.

I also want to let you know that Elizabeth ate in a resturaunt for the first time since early September. It was the same Indian one that we went to in Boston before she was admitted to the hospital.

So glad that many of you folks still check this blog. And again WELCOME TO OUR WORLD KADEN.

Elizabeth, Congrats on good check-ups and not having to go back to Boston for a month! Woo-HOO! (How was the Indian food?)

Julie & Brendan, congratulations on your beautiful baby boy--well done!

Mom, did you think people might worry they would be eating apple jam at the reception? Or that we'd be throwing apple jam on them as they left the church? Of course we were making favors. Jeesh!

When I saw/heard the new song posted I thought maybe that test you sat waiting for last month came back positive! (just kidding, but it made me laugh all over again) Baby Kaden is beautiful, and I love that name! Congratulations Julie and Brendon.
I defend Mil's making note of what the apple jammin' was because I KNEW what it was and chuckled wondring what people might think that meant. Ah, Elizabeth, it's so good to be reading all these good things and that your visits to doctors and for tests are getting fewer and far between. Happy New Year indeed! Mrs H

Oh, and yes, I did think we'd be eating apple jam. Thanks for the clarification, but that would have been okay with me!

Could we have pear jam instead?

Just kidding! Glad to hear you are getting out and about and getting a break from DFCI.

Congrats to Julie and Brendan. Kaden Sean (could that be Irish?) looks like a beautiful bundle.
