Is everyone paying attention?

Are you sure?

This is important.

OK.

First...notice the name of the song.

Got it?

Not yet?

OK ...try listening to the refrain.

You still don't get it?

Fine. I'll just have to spell it out for you.

I-M C-O-M-I-N-G H-O-M-E!!!!

I don't hear anyone cheering.

I'm coming home people. There should be a parade. OK, so I won't be home until late tonight, so maybe a parade is over reaching. Instead, feel free to leave a comment. It will be like a blog parade.

Send me some love
-Elizabeth

Home is where the heart is, Liz,and you've got literally hundreds of hearts beating wildly in unison like hundreds of little drummer boys and girls (hum along in your head), "Welcome home we tell you, pa rum pum pum, pum; it's been way too long now, pa rum pum pum pum, Our own best wishes we send, pa rum pum pum pum
As we thank God for you, pa rum pum pum pum,rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum.... (repeat as often as you'd like). Pastor

We've all been in an upbeat mood(except John who doesn't know because he left his cell phone and can't be easily reached) since we got the news from Allie this afternoon.
I couldn't arrange a parade, or unfortunately even a parade of balloons in your driveway, but I do promise to drop onion soup off tomorrow.
Can't wait to see you again.

There's only one place they call me one of their own
Just a hometown boy [girl],
born a rolling stone,
who says you can't go home
Who says you can't go back,
been all around the world
and as a matter of fact
There's only one place left I want to go, who says you can't go home

I think of the old Pinecrest days when we would all stand in a circle and sing "Homeward Bound" with the tears streaming down our faces. There is always something comforting and special about going home.

"Homeward bound,
Home where my thought's escaping,
Home where my music's playing,
Home where my love lies waiting
Silently for me" (or not so silently knowing your family) =)

Welcome home Elizabeth!
Love,
Kristin

Well if we can't have a real parade, we can at least send you a parade of messages. YAY! And I am so happy it was good news. My mom sent an email saying to read your blog ASAP and send good thoughts. I feared it was bad news, but now I realize she probably just wanted me to also see that she was the first one to post :) Welcome home, Elizabeth! Enjoy!!

Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam,
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home;
A charm from the sky seems to hallow us there,
Which, seek through the world, is ne'er met with elsewhere.
Home, home, sweet, sweet home!
There's no place like home, oh, there's no place like home!

First stanza of a poem by John Howard Payne

Welcome home Liz and please know my prayers are with you...Also please post so we can all participate when there is a parade in your honor - that is such a good idea!
