Here comes the story of the hurricane....

As some of you may have noticed, we have made some revisions to the site. Music has been added, as well as a new contributing writer. So combine all of this together, and you have a huge clue as to my perfect, 10 point donor match.

Hurricane Katrina is coming to town. It's about time her name started having a positive conotation. I still want to speak to my doctor's about some things, and I will have that opportunity tomorrow, so in the meantime. Katrina is a perfect match...Erica sadly is not. And Georgette will let you all know who and how much you won. Wish me luck on day 1 of chemo tomorrow.

And the winners are...
Winnie, Charlie K, Linda & Charles Fitzpatrick, The Carmody's, Georgette & John, Allie, Kim, and Vinnie & Linda Tipa.
Total bets came to $260, so Elizabeth gets $130. Each of the winners will receive approximately$16.(I haven't figured it out down to the penny yet)
Thanks to all who participated.

The Texas Bauerlein (Olsen) and both thinking of you today and for the next 5 days. Give them H_ _ _ _.

And I hope Katrinas stem cells are as strong as the hurricane. They need to wipe this thing out for good (no rebuilding fund will follow this hurricane!)

Hope it went "well" today, Elizabeth.

Oh, and I'm looking forward to a graphic along with that theme song.

Somehow I knew it was Katrina, even though I'm not a betting girl. My thoughts and prayers are with you Elizabeth. You are the first person I think of when I wake up in the morning. You have no idea how hard I am pulling for you. Love, Phyllis R.

Elizabeth--the Cincinnati wing of the family is pulling and praying for you always. I'm so jealous that you've seen Stephen Colbert live and in person! I hope it was fabulous.

so despite a crashing computer (i see the blue screen all too often) i am trying to check your blog, i promise... i hope all is going okay this week.

here's a condensed version of an already bad joke for you and all your readers: 3 space scientists are told they're getting billions in federal funding. one says they should send a man to the moon again, another says they should land a man on mars, and the last one says they should go to the sun. the first two protest and say the sun is too hot. the last one replies, "No problem. We'll land at night."

Have a good night...

Love you,
Di

Who knew that matchey, matchey (or is it matchy, matchy) could be SUCH A GOOD THING! We didn't know there was a contest, but would have picked Katrina - is it too late to win something? Sounds as if you will be the big winner here - too bad you have to go through the preliminaries to get to be one.

You are a determined and stronk voman (you come from a line of very stronk vimen -dat's a good think, too), so we know that you will get through this somehow. Wish we could make it easier. Focus on the positives in the future as much as possible, whether it is tomorrow or this summer in Italy. Our thoughts and love are with you.

Oh, by the way, can you get us two tickets to the Steven Colbert show?

Love,
Aunt Martha & Uncle Werner

Hi Elizabeth,

Very sorry to hear the Fred news, but strengthened in the knowledge that family and friends are praying for you near and far. And faced with the power of God's love and our prayers, your cancer doesn't stand a chance.

Love,
Adam, Debbie, Lucy, and the newest Pachter pulling for you, two-month-old Maya!

Sorry I Have not looked at your site and if I knew about the contest I would have contributed. Any way I am always thinking of you. Missed seeing you on April 27th but I know you had a good time with Paul & Gerri.

Love Mrs. Miller

Is anyone really surprised that Kat won this competition? And a perfect 10/10... I mean, even her stem cells are over-achievers!

Liz, hope this week went well. Talk to you tonight!
