Look who's finally back online.

All is well. I'm still here, and I'm still OK.
And, after a "little" delay, I'm able to blog. Thanks to the IT dept. There is quite a bit left to tell, but my procrastination so far has left me with too much to write, and to little energy to write it with. So, here are some teasers.
Chloraseptic/ Rubbing alchohol lozenges, inflatable beds, salt water gargle and look at all the drugs.
So, I'll let you know tomorrow about all of these things...and more.
Night night
-Elizabeth
PS: Besides....Katrina got you all over 20 comments...I owed you.

I'm sooooo excited. No one knows you've posted but me! You're probably, and hopefully asleep right now, but I was so excited to find your posting just before I shut down the computer and go to bed. You were SO missed and on all of our minds tonight at choir...feel the love! All of our prayers are for you to continue to weather your treatments in a fashion that the doctor's can't comprehend...with less than expected side effects and good humor. Love and miss you!!! Mrs H.

After all of my hard work, to have Mrs. Hinz swoop in and steal 1st post seems unfair...but funny. Very, very funny.

By the way Elizabeth, there is a little-known clause regarding blogs fewer than 10 sentences; they do not require the aforementioned 20 comments for a new post.

Post at will...

Dear Liz, again I need help from Katrina, so let her translat this :

LUIS DID IT! He survived the transplant famously and we were able to go home after 23 days. So, now you have a schedule to stick to!

Luis is doing well, that you will do at least as well as Luis. Lots of love from the whole family.
We're praying for you!!!

Keep thinking of the huge celebration we'll have...!!!!

Stay strong,

I love the list of positives for the hospital. This is your perfect place. Sleep all day, not chores and they bring you food in bed. Think of it as a resort vacation, of course the white walls do get in the way of the picture. Be strong and I will start searching for the funniest card!

Glad to see you're still typing away. Even quick updates are nice to read. I hope your hospital stay goes by fast and that everything they are putting you through works its magic.
Love & Hugs
P.S. Very clever with the comments Katrina!

Because I know that everyone worries when EJ doesn't update, I will chance her displeasure and let you all know that so far, so good. She has tolerated the chemo well and tomorrow will be the final day of chemo. Then Monday is more Rituxin to help the chemo find where it should go and Tuesday is day 0. That's the day she gets her stem-cells back. A new birth (Hey, sort of like being born again???) and then onto the healing. Keep her in your prayers.

Beth:

Who knew you were a convicted felon? I never realized. If I were you I would lay low in the hospital, I hear some of the nurses are packing heat....Don't believe me? Remember all my relatives are in law enforcement. I know the rumors about my relations in the mob, clergy, etc. All not completely true; but they say the same thing.

Anyway hang in there, I will follow along with my pal John+upstairs...

Hi Elizabeth,
I'm delayed, as usual, but thinking about you all the time. I hope you are getting a little sleep while you are in there. I have something for you! Hope to see you tomorrow. Are you getting your stem cells? Hope you are feeling okay. Keep up the good humor.
Love,

Hi Everyone,
I just left EJ's room at WMC and I could see that she was real tired and feeling a little punky. I offered to do the official blog for her, but she's not quite up for it. Tomorrow is the BIG DAY.. Day O as they say. I may have to bring her a birthday balloon. Her brother Paul will get to watch the actual stem cell transplant...wonder if he can take pictures??? Keep us all in your prayers. We're coming in for the home stretch.

OK, you are officially over the 20 mark and have to write a new blog. I think you should have your OLDEST sister Carol write it for you while she spends time with you on Wednesday in the hospital.

It was great to see you this morning and you looked WONDERFUL! Hope you are feeling better. 0 day down, onto day 1!

Love,
janette

Hey Carol...did your friend Janette call you "OLD"? You can't be old..because that would make me old.
I agree with her sentiment however. You should try and convince EJ to allow you to type as she dictates tomorrow. I'll meet you at the hospital.
Mom
PS Is this a strange way for us to communicate????

Wednesday, March 7
(...only if you think Elizabeth isn't reading along. After all, these are her Ramblings and this is pretty much (all?) a lot about her...)

I hope you and your stem cells are getting along. Please remind them that they are Fightin' Stem Cells only when confronted by Fred's sorry butt; other than that they should play nice and go back where they belong.

Prayers for strength, continued positive energy and peace remain with you.

I said OLDEST, being the YOUNGEST in my family, I can use that word. Besides, Carol is younger than me, which she like to remind me.

Erica will agree, half the fun of being the youngest child is giving the OLDER children a hard time about it.

Happy day 1!
Love, Janette
