For those who demanded a graphic

So, a quick run down of my weekend. I woke up Saturday morning and realized that the quarentine that my father was under hadn't worked. What quarentine you ask. The one that would prevent me from getting his head cold.
So with the exception of church I spent my weekend camped on the couch with a box of tissues, clutching my dayquil. Hope your weekend was better then mine. -Elizabeth

I want to know how someone who is taking 4 different anti-biotics a day, can still catch cold germs? Sorry, Elizabeth....but let's see if I'm next.

I"m trying to decide what kind of play "Revenue of Zombie Fred" would be. It wouldn't be a heavy drama because that's not how your blog is. On the other hand, it couldn't be a lightweight comedy either because there's nothing funny about what you're dealing with. So I'm thinking a musical with a mix of songs — funny songs mixed with contemplative songs and angry songs. The whole menu of songs. One thing I know -- it would have a big, big cast because there sure are lots of people adding their voices to this blog and keeping you in their thoughts. Hope you get to feeling better quickly from the cold.

OK, have to say it - how is 'So with the exception of church I spent my weekend camped on the couch with a box of tissues, clutching my dayquil' substitute the tissues with a stuffed animal and dayquil with snack, different then a regular Sunday? Just kidding (hmmm, I'm sure I got a smile from some family members!)- enjoy the rest, you will need it.

"No Margaritas for you" you said? How do they expect you to chase Phred II all the way to that hot place down there so he can once and for all give the devil his due?

Just thinking of you, Elizabeth, and admiring your courage and positive mood. All of us in Maryland are sending our best wishes and prayers to you. Let's get this guy out of the neighborhood.

Please stay confident.

Hi Liz,
I know I'm the worst sister at this blogging thing but I thought it was time I add my two cents.
1. if this play has singing, I'm in!
2. you didn't even mention that I got mom out of the house for a few days for you!
3. obviously Garfield bandaids would have been better, but I had limited time and limited choices. I hope they serve their purpose.
Hope you start to feel better soon! Love you!

Sorry you came down with that cold. Something seems to be going around here in MA as well; it involves lots of coughing.
Love the picture.

Hi Elizabeth,
Hope the cold is gone by now.
I just spent a few minutes here trying to catch up on your blog. And finally realized that I haven't posted in a very long time because I was just trying to make Erica feel better about her posting skills (she is better at the blog thing than I am).Yay, graphics - I agree with katrina...yay, global warming - it is going to be in the 50s again tomorrow in Brooklyn. BTW the next time you all have a big outing to NYC stop by Chinatown and say hi.

Thinking about you.

Hi Elizabeth,
I just wanted to say that we (Stefan, Jana, Matej & Samuel) are still thinking of you. When we found out about the need for new round(s) of treatment, I went to your blog to post something but I confess, I could not muster anything at that time. I know that it's exactly those times when you need to hear from people the most but reading other's comments it felt everything what could be said had already been said.
Anyway, I am SO GLAD to see that your spirits are up and you get to do regular things (exhibits, church, class,...). You are very much in our thoughts and prayers!

This comment is more to give all of you "blog followers" news about today, as I know that Elizabeth is wiped. She did really well today, but this chemo is brutal. They inserted the "plug" into her port at 8:30 this morning and unplugged it at 5:30 this afternoon. It just zapps all of my energy, so you can imagine what it does to hers. But she is doing well and tomorrow morning we're back at WMC for the next round which should be about 3 hours shorter than today. And then one more on Friday which is a piece of cake as it will only last about 5 hours. Keep us in your thoughts and watch for Elizabeth's update as soon as she can.

Keep up your spirits, keep up your strength! Only 10 more shopping days til Christmas! (Don't worry, Elizabeth; you never start before 12/22 anyway...You've got plenty of time!)

You can do it, Elizabeth!
